In 2015, Rick Richman left a career in tech and founded his Neapolitan-style pizza truck, Firepie, with a vision of changing the pizza-delivery industry for the better.

Known for its handmade crust, lightning-speed delivery times, and simple, straightforward menu, the OG Firepie truck has been settling into its long-term parking spot in the Mission for the last 6 years. And now, it looks like the pizza joint is getting a permanent home a few blocks north, at 3230 16th St.

The new place won’t come without competition, seeing as wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza spot Mozzeria is right next store, but Firepie’s 900 degree wood-burning oven, which cooks your pie in ninety seconds, is sure to bring the heat.

No word yet on when they’ll open their brick-and-mortar location, but head to their website or Instagram page for updates.
