Neighborhood cocktail bar Pretty Penny has closed its doors at 504 E. Roosevelt Street and will relocate nearby to 509 E Roosevelt Street in Phoenix.

The concept will be moving into the former home of Disco Dragon, which closed its doors on November 10th, according to a social media announcement. Pretty Penny is expected to relocate and open on December 4th. This is the latest from Sam Olguin and Brenon Stuart, who also own Killer Whale Sex Club and F.Y.P.M. The duo opened Pretty Penny earlier this year in the space that formerly housed another one of their concepts, Pour Bastards. Disco Dragon opened in May 2022.

F.Y.P.M., a cocktail bar hidden inside Disco Dragon, will remain open, and the Pretty Penny team will update its food menu, according to the announcement. While the shake-up proves the restaurant group is always looking for ways to improve its portfolio, it remains one of the top in the greater Phoenix Area. The pink-themed F.Y.P.M. was among this year’s top 10 finalists for Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar by Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

“WE’RE MOVING!” according to the announcement. “We’ll be closing service for 3 short weeks as we move Pretty Penny across the street to the old Disco Dragon location. We want to expand everything we’re doing and that requires a full kitchen and bigger team. We will be shutting down disco dragon, then Pretty Penny will combine our staff with theirs allowing us to elevate both kitchens, and execute things like a steak program, more pastas, and more crudos. The restaurant will be closed for three weeks and will reopen on December 4th, we will be bringing back the Seafood Tower and Caviar at Cost, as well as elevating the overall menu at F.Y.P.M. We thank everyone for making Pretty Penny what it is and look forward to celebrating the last night of service at the current location, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store once we have a full kitchen!”
