Moe’s Southwest Grill, an Atlanta-based fast-casual restaurant, is preparing to host a grand opening for its first Arizona location, which will be located at 15611 West McDowell Road in Goodyear.

Previously, What Now Phoenix reported on franchise owners Tony and Namit Mangat, a dynamic father-son team, opening the concept in the Pebble Creek Marketplace. As the duo gets ready for its grand opening on Friday, Dec. 13, they are planning to open even more locations, according to InBusinessPHX. After Goodyear, a second location, complete with a Cinnabon Swirl, is planned to open in Peoria in summer 2025, followed by another in Tempe.

“We’re thrilled to bring Moe’s quality and fresh southwestern food to Arizona and look forward to becoming part of the Goodyear community,” Namit Mangat tells InBusinessPHX. “After years of experience in the commercial real estate and trucking industry, I’m eager to step into this entrepreneurial role in an industry I’m passionate about.”

This is a massive accomplishment for the Mangats, who bring experience from various industries, including real estate, construction, and trucking. They partnered with GoTo Foods, the parent company of Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Jamba, McAlister’s Deli, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Schlotzsky’s, to introduce Moe’s Southwest Grill to Arizona. In addition to the grand opening celebration, Moe’s Goodyear will host a toy drive from Dec. 16-21.

The grand opening celebration will kick off at 11 a.m. and feature a DJ and exciting giveaways, including free burritos for a year for the first 50 people in line. Attendees will also have a chance at the prize wheel for fun surprises. Any guest who donates a new, unwrapped toy during this period will receive a buy-one-get-one (BOGO) Entree on us coupon, valid through the end of 2025.
