CAVA appears to be coming to Burbank. The quickly growing fast-casual Mediterranean chain is listed as “coming soon” on the Burbank Economic Development website. The new location will be at 1787 N Victory Pl, where California Roll & Sushi formerly stood.

CAVA is focused on offering health-focused salad- and grain-based bowls with bold flavors like spicy harissa, tender braised lamb, herbaceous skhug, crispy falafel, creamy tzatziki and smokey roasted eggplant dip. Their dips, spreads and sauces are also available at Whole Foods and other grocery stores nationwide.

CAVA was founded by childhood friends Ike Grigoropoulos, Chef Dimitri Moshovitis, and Ted Xenohristos. The corporate owned chain has 25 open locations in SoCal and over 250 locations throughout the U.S.

With recent openings in Sherman Oaks and Hollywood and others in the works for L.A., it seems the company’s plan to operate 1,000 locations in the U.S. by 2032 is well underway.

An opening date for the Burbank outpost has not been announced.
