South Florida’s reputation as a hub for recreation and innovation is about to make headlines with the imminent debut of The Fort, the world’s first dedicated pickleball stadium and entertainment complex. Nearing completion in Snyder Park, Fort Lauderdale, this 10-acre facility is set to redefine sports and leisure in the region.
Backed by a $7 million construction loan from Centennial Bank, The Fort represents a visionary blend of athleticism and entertainment, featuring:
- 43 Courts with Cutting-Edge Tech: Advanced Playsight technology for live-streaming matches, instant replays, and coaching analysis, setting a new standard for pickleball venues globally.
- Dual Appeal: A destination for both recreational players and social visitors, The Fort combines the energy of a day club with the sophistication of a modern country club.
- Pro-Level Recognition: The Fort will be the official headquarters and training facility for the Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP), cementing its role as a cornerstone of the sport.
“I’m thrilled to be part of a project that fulfills a growing community need, uniting people across generations and levels of play,” said Camila Giraldo, loan officer at Centennial Bank who orchestrated the transaction in a statement.
Located at 891 SW 34 Street, The Fort is poised to attract local players, international tourists, and spectators from nearby ports in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Membership packages and day passes will be available upon opening, making it accessible to players of all levels.
The Fort’s nearing completion highlights the success of its private-public partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale. This collaboration has enabled the realization of a facility that benefits both residents and visitors alike while boosting the local economy.
This groundbreaking project also reflects Centennial Bank’s commitment to fostering community growth. The bank’s relationship with developer Jeffrey Roschman dates back to its acquisition of Landmark Bank in 2016, and this partnership reinforces Centennial’s dedication to transformative projects.
