Lava Island, a rapidly growing indoor adventure park brand, is set to make an impact in Aurora with the opening of its latest venue. The second in the city for the company, this location is taking over the property at 5560 South Parker Road, according to the brand.

The site, formerly a Bed, Bath & Beyond, is currently under construction and is projected to open its doors in late January or early February. Chase Terwilliger, CEO, tells What Now Denver that they project a grand opening will happen between January 15 and February 7.

There is also an upcoming Englewood location, situated at 139 West Hampden Avenue, opening soon. These openings are part of the company’s plans for 12 new sites across the U.S. in 2025. The brand opened its first (and only currently operating) location in north Aurora in 2017.

A massive indoor playground and premier destination for family entertainment, the facility will feature a wide range of attractions, including trampolines, foam pits, massive slides, and indoor climbing structures. A café within the park will serve various family-friendly food options, including pizza, chicken fingers, milkshakes, and smoothies.
