Colorado Springs is set to welcome a new, exciting entertainment destination this summer — Surf Shack, an indoor water surfing venue. According to the Gazette, the business will be located at Polaris Pointe, the mixed-use development near North Gate Boulevard and Voyager Parkway.
Proposed by Dr. Michael Kofford, a local orthodontist, the space will have a snack shack and tiki bar onsite with a quick-serve menu. Kofford told What Now Denver the food will include quesadillas, flatbreads, sandwiches, and more.
The 12,000-square-foot, two-story facility will have cutting-edge attractions like the FlowRider wave machine, a second-level sauna, two outdoor sand volleyball courts, and a 2,000-square-foot patio with a hot tub for lounging, locker rooms, a conference room, and party rooms. Riders can expect to pay by the hour, with each session accommodating 20 to 30 surfers and boards.
“We’re just super excited to bring it to Colorado. And the support from so many people has been overwhelming,” he told the publication.
Surf Shack is currently under construction, with the foundation and parking lot completed. Kofford expects the venue to open by August 2025. The area is a hub for entertainment, featuring nearby attractions such as TopGolf, iFly indoor skydiving, and the new Ford Amphitheater.
