It appears Richmond will become the newest home of Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. According to a state project filing, the latest addition to the restaurant chain will open at 4810 Waterview Meadow Dr. in Richmond. The freestanding, 9,300-square-foot building will feature a patio.

Lazy Dog is focused on creative scratch cooking, value, and hospitality, according to the brand’s website. The menu is extensive. Starters such as queso and street corn fries plus small plates of crispy deviled eggs and cheddar cheese curds can whet the appetite.

From there, diners can order salads, sandwiches, burgers, bowls, and entrees of chicken, fish, pot roast, ribs, and more. Family-style meals such as grilled lemon chicken, BBQ bison meatloaf, and fettuccini alfredo provide enough food for four or five people. You can even order TV dinners that are made in-house and frozen in retro-style trays to heat up at home.

The bar menu is also extensive, full of draft beer, wine, and cocktails. Why not try a Smoked Maple Bacon Old Fashioned, a Huckleberry Mule, or a Pineapple Mojito? Housemade sangria and margaritas are also on the menu.

CEO Chris Simms and his father, Tom Simms, founded Lazy Dog in California in 2003. The brand now has dozens of locations across the country including several in Texas—Cypress, Stafford, and across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
