In the bustling heart of Houston, a new chapter is about to unfold for Hartz Chicken, a name synonymous with mouth-watering comfort food. The brand, famous for its homestyle fried chicken and sides, is all set to open its newest location at 11121 Fondren Rd. Spearheading this expansion is Franchisee Jalal Kapadia, a multi-unit operator of the brand.
Kapadia, currently operating two successful Hartz Chicken outlets, is eagerly anticipating the opening of his third location on Fondren Road. In a recent interview with What Now Houston, he mentioned that for the time being, three is his cap with this franchise, but is very excited about their potential.
This new location will soon begin renovations. The site, formerly a Church’s Chicken, is undergoing a transformation worth $60,000, according to a permit on file. Spanning 1,698 square feet, it promises to offer the same warm and welcoming ambiance that Hartz Chicken patrons have come to love.
But Kapadia’s portfolio extends beyond Hartz Chicken. He is a franchisee of Atomic Wings and an area developer for the brand. His rights to the Houston Metro area are a testament to his commitment and capability, with plans to roll out over 20 units of Atomic Wings in the next five years.
Kapadia, while juggling other investments and ventures, remains fully focused on his role as a franchisee. His hands-on approach and keen business acumen have been pivotal in navigating the challenges and successes of the franchise world.
The upcoming Hartz Chicken location is aimed for an opening in May or June 2024, but not before kicking off with a soft opening of Atomic Wings prior to its official launch slated for February 17, 2024.
