No. 1 Boba Tea became Las Vegas’s first bubble tea shop when it opened its doors in Chinatown back in 1998. The brand has grown considerably since, with ten locations currently operating in Greater Las Vegas, plus one in Texas, along with several more that appear to be in the works for the brand’s home city. Paperwork recently filed with Clark County shows plans for a new No. 1 Boba location at 4019 S Maryland Pkwy, with an estimated $130,000 construction budget.
No. 1 Boba’s menus show considerable variety by location. Each offers a selection of milk teas, flavored teas, and slushes, with some offering individual specialties—durian, for example, is available only at the Chinatown location. The Aliante, Flamingo, Lake Mead, and Nellis Blvd menus have included drinks like Mango Green Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, and the Honeydew Slush, to name a few.
The Centennial Hills menu also features “Power Juice,” low-sugar beverages that include the Lift Me Up (spinach, kale, banana, pineapple, mango, and ginger) and the Green Monster (spinach, green apple, avocado, lime, and oat).
It is unknown which menu configuration the Maryland location is likely to reflect. What Now Las Vegas was unable to reach a representative of No. 1 Boba Tea for immediate comment.
The planned location is situated on the northwest corner of the S Maryland Pkwy–E Flamingo Rd intersection, near Flamingo Grand Plaza and the Maryland Pkwy Target store. The area is home to quick food choices like Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, and Five Guys.
