Imagining Mexican-inspired aguas frescas as a kind of daiquiri 2.0, one that could replace the Strip’s ubiquitous sugary frozen drink with something simpler and less packed with artificial ingredients, up-and-coming brand Splash Fresca Bar has its sights set on the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian—as What Now reported last month.

And now, licensing paperwork newly discovered by What Now indicates that one restaurateur behind Splash Fresca Bar may already be at work on another new concept planned for the Strip; namely, one called “Michos Tacos,” which the paperwork in question places at 3000 Las Vegas Blvd S, the address of Resorts World Las Vegas.

The paperwork was submitted by Michos, LLC, behind which is Tony Ravelo, co-owner of Splash Fresca Bar.

“We have Mexican street tacos, aguas frescas, and some really cool Mexican favorites,” Ravelo told What Now in a phone conversation.

Ravelo said there are, in fact, two locations in play for Micho’s Tacos, one of which will open in Resorts World’s Famous Foods on February 24. Another is planned in an outdoor spot at the resort.

EDITOR’S NOTE: A previous version of this article stated that Matt Pinal appeared to be involved in the project. Pinal is not involved, and a correction has been made. A statement from owner Tony Ravelo has also been added.
