A new location of Dave’s Hot Chicken will be coming to Mission Viejo. Franchisee Mike DeSanti tells What Now Media the team is hoping to open doors at 24440 Alicia Parkway sometime in March of the new year.

DeSanti is neither a stranger to Dave’s nor the Orange County market. He’s been a key player in the chain’s expansion in the region, dating back to 202o, also having a hand in the Anaheim, Irvine, and Costa Mesa locations of the popular fried chicken chain. An experienced restaurateur, Desanti also helped bring San Diego sandwich favorite Board and Brew to the O.C. in 2010.

Dave’s Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville style spicy fried chicken, as the name suggest. However, despite their food’s southern roots, the now national concept actually started right here in Southern California, originally making a name for itself with tasty tenders, sandwiches, and chicken, all available in seven different spice levels, sold from an East Hollywood parking lot.

DeSanti said he particularly enjoys the hot chicken sandwich, noting it’s one of the best he’s ever tasted. “I’m just excited to be a part of the Mission Viejo community,” he told What Now Orange County. “It’s awesome.”
