Another new Dave’s Hot Chicken is in the works, this time in La Habra. According Josh Levitt, an in-house P.R. representative from Dave’s, franchisee Raj Rajalingam plans to open at 1331 W Imperial Hwy sometime in the first fiscal quarter of 2023.
Keen readers might recall that just the other day What Now Orange County reported on a different, forthcoming Orange County Dave’s Hot Chicken location in Mission Viejo. While that location is operated by a different franchisee, the trend remains the same–Dave’s continues its rapid expansion in Southern California and beyond.
The now multi-national chain has come a long way from its roots in an East Hollywood parking lot, with upwards of 80 locations across four countries. In addition to the United States, where the brand has expanded across the country, Dave’s also has stores in Dubai, Qatar, and Canada.
As the name suggests, Dave’s Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville style spicy fried chicken. The concept features a tight menu of tenders, sandwiches, sides, and fries, many of which come slathered in the brand’s signature Dave’s sauce. Chicken can be prepared at one of seven spice levels, ranging from a classic country fry to the “reaper,” which promises a hallucinatory cocktail of heat.
