Renowned chef Zov Karamardian is expanding her empire with the announcement that her chain is adding a new location. Zov’s will open soon in San Clemente, according to hiring ads online.

The restaurant was created in 1987, and has long been a favorite of Orange County residents. Zov’s offers Mediterranean and Middle Eastern delicacies like a mezze platter, signature kabob plate, Moroccan salmon, and angel hair pasta — to name a few.

Tustin hosted the first location of the business, and the company was later expanded to Irvine and Newport Coast. The family-run business has not yet announced where the San Clemente location will be or what the exact address is.

Karamardian is a respected chef, culinary teacher, and cookbook author. She has worked alongside famed cooks like Julia Child, Martin Yan, and Hugh Carpenter.  She also owns Roxy’z in Anaheim, an eatery dedicated to a family member.
