Irv’s Burgers, a Los Angeles institution since 1946, is expanding its legacy to Newport Beach. The brand is opening a grab-and-go space at 600 E Bay Ave., in the Balboa Fun Zone, OC Register reports.

Irv’s will bring its renowned menu to Orange County, featuring dishes like burgers, pastrami sandwiches, chili cheese dogs, and tuna melts. The company also offers catering services seven days a week, with three different packages available.

An eatery with roots tracing back to 1946, it is a beloved SoCal burger joint. While it closed for a while, it was recently relaunched in 2022 with the help of new ownership and now has locations in Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Malibu, and Las Vegas.

For nearly eight decades, Irv’s Burgers started out as Queen’s Burgers and quickly became a cultural icon, a favorite of the likes of Frank Sinatra, Jonis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and more.
