Travelers catching flights from John Wayne Airport will be pleased to hear that the property is getting a huge concession revamp with new restaurants coming. One such upcoming eatery at 18601 Airport Way property is Wahoo’s Fish Taco, LA Times reports.
More than a dozen new dining options are slated to arrive at the international airport by the end of 2025. Under a new 15-year contract, HMSHost, a food-service company that operates dining concepts at airports around the world, will develop more than 32,100 square feet of concessions across Terminals A, B, and C.
The new dining venues will include outposts of Five Vines Wine Bar, Taco’s La Piña, Sgt. Pepperoni’s Pizza Store, and Mama’s Comfort Food & Cocktails, as well as local options like Chaupain Bakery and Left Coast Brewing.
Wahoo’s Fish Taco is a fast-casual O.C.-born chain known for its Baja-style fish tacos and healthy burritos, bowls, salads, and more. The brand was founded in Costa Mesa over 35 years ago by a trio of brothers.
“Wahoo’s is really excited to partner with HMSHost at John Wayne airport and be able to welcome visitors to the area and provide a warm meal for the locals on their way out of town,” Wing Lam, co-founder, tells What Now OC.
