Exciting things are happening in Sacramento’s brewery scene. After reporting on a potential brewery coming to Fair Oaks a few weeks ago, we heard another brewery is in the works, targeting the El Dorado Hills community. The Moirae Brewing Company, a family-owned brewery is looking to build a brewery and taproom in the neighborhood featuring their award-winning home brews.
Moirae Brewing is spearheaded by husband-and-wife duo Zach and Ariela Grinnell. After sampling Jack D’or by Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project back in 2012, Zach discovered his passion for brewing. Since then, Moirae Brewing’s unique recipes have brought home many recognitions and medals.
Currently, the brewery is waiting on its federal license to begin brewing craft beer commercially and the owners are hoping for the license to arrive right at the beginning of 2024. Once the license is received, the brewery will begin production and already has plans to make its beers available at local restaurants, taprooms, and bottle shops.
While there is no location in mind just yet, the co-founders are hoping to secure a spot in late 2024. The brewery is looking for a freestanding retail space with approximately 2,000 square feet and is focusing on the El Dorado Hills, Folsom, and Cameron Park areas.
