More tenants are joining the development over the former Sears site in Florin Towne Center at 5901 Florin Road, one of them being Pollo Campero. While the company offers franchise opportunities, the new Florin location will be corporate-owned. The new location is anticipated to open in Winter 2025 and will contain a dining room and a drive-thru.
Pollo Campero is a fast-service restaurant chain specializing in hand-breaded fried chicken. The menu includes chicken sandwiches, salads, empanadas, family meals, and various sides. The brand also offers a few vegan options like yuca fries and sweet plantains. The family-founded franchise opened in Guatemala in 1971 and currently has more than 80 locations in the U.S.
The chain aims to expand its footprint across multiple regions of the U.S. in the next few years, including northeastern California, specifically the Greater Sacramento region. As of now, no building permits have been filed for the new development. However, construction is anticipated to begin sometime in the first half of 2024.
In addition to Pollo Campero, Raising Cane’s, Aliados Restaurant, and a new hotel will also join the development in 2025.
