In addition to Fall River Brewing and 32 Below Ice Cream, a bakery and coffee shop concept by Tarsus Foods, Inc will also join the upcoming public market in downtown Redding in the summer of 2024. The corporation currently operates a cafe brand called From The Hearth. However, the upcoming bakery in the new market will be an entirely different concept.
Established in 2009 by founding members John Dix and Jonah Mills, Tarsus Foods puts community and hospitality at the center. The corporation operates a handful of restaurants serving freshly brewed coffee, phenomenal food, and delicious baked goods, including From The Hearth Kitchen & Pie Shop and Addendum, a drive-thru cafe serving breakfast items and espresso drinks.
Designed to be the new social gathering spot in downtown Redding and a retail hub, a coffee shop is a natural necessity for the new Redding Public Market. According to Mills, the company is working on a standalone concept specifically designed to suit the new public market.
“In addition to providing a fresh take on a modern coffee shop, we intend to bring an artisan bakery to the Redding Market Center that has a specially-tailored brand and purpose to provide expertly crafted baked goods in an atmosphere where patrons can feel the excitement of being footsteps away from seeing the bakers in action,” Jonah Mills, CEO of Tarsus Foods, said in a press release.
Like other tenants, the cafe and bakery is planned for the summer of 2024.
