The popular local coffee chain Jo’s Coffee will be expanding its Austin footprint with an upcoming location in South Austin at 5532 Manchaca Road, according to a recent filing with the State of Texas. The new location will be near established South Austin eateries such as Tuk Tuk Thai Cafe and Conan’s Pizza. The upcoming location, as all other Jo’s Coffee locations, are owned and managed by Bunkhouse Group.

What Now Austin recently reached out to CFO of Bunkhouse Group and project tenant Willam Gernstein to inquire about potential opening dates and other information, but he was not immediately available for comment. Mr. Gernstein is also the president of The Marchbanks Company.

Apart from a wide-range of caffeinated offerings such as espresso, tea, and the signature “iced turbo”, Jo’s Coffee offers breakfast tacos and lunch sandwiches. Most locals and tourists will recognize Jo’s Coffee for its famous cursive “I love you so much” graffiti which remains a top picture-taking spot for tourists, college students, and other visitors eager for a pictorial souvenir.

The upcoming Manchaca location will be the local chain’s sixth, after opening in South Congress, Downtown, Campus, Red River and within the Austin airport.
