The growing sandwich chain Ike’s Love and Sandwiches will soon be expanding its Central Texas footprint with three upcoming locations, according to recent filings with the State of Texas.
Insisting on its uniqueness in a crowded national sandwich market, the official company website states “Ike’s Love & Sandwiches ain’t your momma’s sandwich shop! Ike’s has sandwiches for all: meat lovers, vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free. And from the signature Dutch Crunch bread to the secret Ike’s “Dirty Sauce” to the innovative flavors, you’re sure to find a unique favorite.”
What Now Austin recently spoke with Adam Rinella, VP of Development at Ike’s Love and Sandwiches, who tells the publication “We are opening in Georgetown (1021 W University Ave, within Suite 105), the Mueller area (1201 Barbara Jordan Blvd), and Great Hills Market in the Arboretum area (9828 Great Hills Trail).”
When asked why the company is planning the expansion in Austin, Mr. Rinella states “Austin has been a great market for us. We’re a San Francisco brand and there’s a lot of overlap between the two cultures. It’s natural for us to extend our presence in the area.”
And what sandwich does Mr. Rinella find to be his favorite?
“The Paul Ruben is my favorite sandwich and one of our most popular ones as well. A classic reuben with a West Coast twist.”
Until the new Ike’s locations open sometime in 2023, readers and partners can visit the original Austin location at 5207 Brodie Lane
