Santiago’s, the popular Tex-Mex restaurant chain, will be soon conducting thorough renovations at its Round Rock Premium Outlets location at 4401 N I-35 Frontage Rd in Round Rock, according to public records.
The public filing in question states the scope of work will construct various aspects of the restaurant, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, along with the construction of brand new restrooms and a brand new patio.
What Now Austin reached out to representatives at both Simon and Santiago’s to inquire about the potential scope, dates and other key features of the space and its role in the dining experience, but no comments were given by time of publication.
However, key information can be gathered from the original public filing. Construction is not slated to begin until next summer with a projected end by the end of 2024. The space will be around 4,600 square feet and, considering that they will occupy an already existing shell space in the mall, construction is only estimated to total $200,000.
