Dog Haus, a growing American pub-style restaurant specializing in hot dogs, will soon be expanding throughout the central Texas area, according to a recent report in QSR

“Texans appreciate quality food, great customer service and a good time, so we’re already a match made in heaven,” VP of Franchise Development Erik Hartung told QSR. “Dog Haus continues to grow and gain more fans, so there’s no doubt that everything is bigger in Texas.”

“As a brand that focuses a lot on fun, atmosphere, and craft beer, we seem to really hit home in Austin,” Mr. Hartung tells What Now Austin in a recent phone call. “We have a really independent vibe that seems to line up with the culture there.”

The first upcoming location in Central Texas is slated for the growing suburb of Cedar Park, though no address has yet been specified.

“Cedar Park should be open by the end of summer,” Hartung says. “We’re actively searching for the next location after that. I’ll actually be coming into town soon to look for the next site.”

Heather Durbin, the franchisee who will be in charge of the Cedar Park location and other potential Austin-area stores, was not immediately available for comment.
