According to a recent Eater report, Antonelli’s Cheese is seeking to open a location in south Austin.

“When we opened in 2010, it was easy to travel across the river to get to us in our location just north of UT campus,” John & Kendall Antonelli announced on their newsletter. “Now, traffic is a beast, and we know many folks shop, eat, and frequent mostly where they can get to easily. So, we’re looking for a location south of the river.”

Seeking public feedback to identify the ideal space, the duo has shared a survey:

“As we look toward the future of our company, we are asking for customer feedback and insights on how to best serve our cheese loving community. We are so grateful that you are willing to take some time to help our small business fulfill our mission to ‘Do Good. Eat Good.’”

Known for their cozy and warm Hyde Park store, Antonelli’s sells a wide range of cheeses, charcuterie boards, bread, crackers, and a range of wines. The Hyde Park location hosts over 200 tastings yearly and provides full catering services for occassions such as weddings, parties, and corporate events.

“Two years after John announced on our honeymoon that he wanted to quit his job and ‘do something in cheese,’ we unlocked the front door to our very own cheese shop in 2010,” the official website states.

“What ultimately started as a humble Cheese Shop in a beloved neighborhood, our business has grown to include the Cheese House where we offer public tasting classes and private events, a national e-commerce program, and a wholesale program sourcing and distributing artisanal cheese and meat across Texas.”
