Noted restaurateur Doug Guller’s Happy Chicks will soon be opening a new Austin location, according to a recent report in Eater.

“It’ll be found at 10611 Research Boulevard starting sometime in the fall,” the article states. “The fast-casual restaurant is taking over what had been the last remaining salad drive-thru Baby Greens, which closed in October 2022. Happy Chicks has three locations in Austin and one in Dallas.”

Readers unfamiliar with the growing brand can expect a simple fast casual concept centered on tenders, much like Raising Cane’s. Apart from its tenders and local appeal, readers can expect interesting sides such as cream corn and tortilla soup. Also notable is the brand’s serving of beer, wine and cocktails—though only at its downtown location.

No specific opening date has yet been announced. Until the newest Happy Chicks opens its doors, readers can find the brand on Burnet Road and 6th Street.
