According to a recent report in The Austin Business Journal, the owners behind Mean Eyed Cat are planning to debut a brewpub at 1900 E. Howard Lane in Northeast Austin/Pflugerville next summer.

“Matt Luckie, owner of Mean Eyed Cat, and Max Moreland, operating partner, have teamed up with brewmasters Kirby Kirkconnell and Matt Couch to bring the concept to life. Called Old Gregg, the brewpub will offer its own line of beers while also serving other alcoholic beverages,” the report states.

“There’s good spots up there, but it’s really spread out. The growth is heading right towards 130,” Luckie said to the publication. “We really feel like we’re going to be a great fit for the neighborhood of just a nice little brewpub, some good food, big yard to hang out in, right by a little pond. I mean, it’s just it really feels good.”

The report adds that the space will be around 6,000-square-feet and “feature a large green space that rolls down into a pond.” Old Gregg’s menu has not yet been determined.
