According to a recent report in Eater, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions will soon open a mac and cheese-dedicated restaurant. Macs, the Wisconsin-based fast-casual chain, will open at the 3001 Kalahari Boulevard property “in the winter of 2023 or 2024.”

Founded by husband and wife team Nick and Jacqueline Morse, Macs Macaroni and Cheese Shop offers a variety of mac and cheeses, such as the original with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses; the Hangover (hash browns, grilled hot dogs, bacon, vegetables, and Sriracha), and the Cheeseburger (ground beef, pickles, and Thousand Island dressing). Beyond these dishes, readers can also order are melt sandwiches, plus salads and desserts.

“Fast casual, fast fresh, fast comfort and all Wisconsin,” the official website states. “Macs is a new concept in dining with its roots in a family favorite – macaroni and cheese. As all Wisconsinites know everything is better cheesy.”

“Using their delicious house recipe as a canvas, Jackie and Nick have experimented like mad cheese scientists, combining favorite comfort flavors into a skillet of perfection, each one cradled within the curves of traditional mac and cheese. Enjoy macs in the reclaimed rustic industrial interior.”

No exact opening date has been announced.
