Florida-based Kona Poké will open its third location in Apopka in late 2021. Located at 3030 E. Semoran Boulevard, the 1,500 square-foot restaurant is slated to go in at Colonial Shoppes Plaza next to Chick-fil-a and will have indoor and outdoor seating options.

The brand’s concept is Hawaiian-style poké bowls made with sushi-grade fish and house sauces. Choose a signature bowl like the Kona Fire, which layers fresh ahi tuna, Hawaiian sauce, seaweed salad, green onion, sesame seeds, avocado, onion crisps, sriracha aioli, and sriracha. Or Build-Your-Own from more than 40 fresh ingredients. Vegan, vegetarian, Keto, gluten-free, and cooked options are available as well.

Kona Poké has a 100-percent no contact food prep guarantee and also offers a grab-and-go cooler with refreshments, beverages, proteins, and sides. Other menu items include soup, salad, and Mochi ice cream, which is premium ice cream wrapped in a sweet rice dough that comes in flavors like green tea, strawberry, chocolate, and mango.

Owners Matthew Ting and Ernie Falco III launched Kona Poké in January 2019 and have since expanded to add locations in Lake Mary and Sanford. Kona Poké Express, a custom-built food trailer, serves pick up orders in Indialantic Beach. Future Kona Poké locations are planned for Palm Coast, Fort Lauderdale, Winter Garden, and Melbourne Beach.
