A new Winn-Dixie supermarket will be opening at 611 E Main St at The Apopka City Center. Southeastern Grocers, the parent company of Winn-Dixie, has more than 420 stores and nearly 370 of them are Winn-Dixie stores.
Some of the other spots opening at this new center include a “retail center with 6-7 tenants, a new high-end Italian restaurant and a 195-unit apartment complex.” Also opening at this center is Brew Theory Marketplace and a Starbucks. According to an article by The Apopka Voice, “Brew Theory Marketplace will consist of a 12,000 square foot food hall with offerings that incorporate many of Orlando’s finest restaurant concepts.”
Ground has officially been broken for the Winn-Dixie at the developing Apopka City Center, according to this article. “The new grocer said it plans to open its new Central Florida location in early 2023 and that it will create more than 100 jobs.”
Also in this article, it is written that the new shopping center “will be designed to provide customers with a unique shopping experience featuring the fresh produce and high-quality meats and seafood as well as new signature categories.”
What Now Orlando reached out to Jordan Post, the Senior Vice President of Operations at Southeastern Grocers, but did not hear back. For more information about Winn-Dixie and to keep up with the opening of this location, check out Winn-Dixie’s official Facebook and Instagram pages.
