The owner of Chicken Fire and That Wing Spot may open a restaurant called Cow & Cheese if his pop-ups for the restaurant concept are successful. The next pop-up for Cow & Cheese will happen from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Chicken Fire restaurant at 2425 E Colonial Dr. on August 23, 2022.
The first Cow & Cheese pop-up happened on August 16, 2022 and went over very well. In an caption on an Instagram post, Cow & Cheese wrote “We completely SOLD OUT of 200 SMASH BURGERS in just 2 hours last pop-up, so we’re bringing even more cow this time.”
The owner of Cow & Cheese, Kwame Boakye also owns the restaurants Chicken Fire and That Wing Spot. Chicken Fire is a very popular fried chicken restaurant in Orlando that serves fried chicken in 5 different levels of heat. Customers can pick a chicken tender box, a slider box or a kid box. Chicken Fire’s sides for their boxes are French fries and creamy buttermilk coleslaw. Check out Chicken Fire’s website here.
That Wing Spot offers delicious wings in flavors like Smokey Sweet BBQ, Buffalo, Honey Buffalo, Lemon Pepper, Dry Rub and Plain Crispy. Wings at That Wing Spot come in orders of 10, 15, 20, 50, 75 and even up to 100. Check out That Wing Spot’s Facebook and Instagram pages for more information.
In an article by Click Orlando, it is written that Boakye “hopes to do more [pop-ups] in the future and eventually wants to open Cow & Cheese as its own restaurant.” For Boakye, “It’s not about the money. For me, it’s about building the brand, building the reputation and getting the recognition.”
“What’s most important, and my overarching mission is to create people’s favorite places. So for Chicken Fire, it’s to create people’s favorite place to eat hot chicken; for That Wing Spot, it’s to create people’s favorite place to eat Buffalo-style wings and for Cow & Cheese, it’s to create people’s favorite place to eat burgers.”
What Now Orlando reached out to Cow & Cheese for more information but have not yet heard back. For now, it is unclear when and where Cow & Cheese will open a brick-and-mortar restaurant. In the meantime, residents and travelers in Orlando can check out Cow & Cheese’s pop-ups. Due to the popularity and success of the recent pop-up, it seems likely that Cow & Cheese may get a permanent home in the future.
An official website has not yet been created for Cow & Cheese, but keep up with their Instagram and Facebook accounts for the most accurate information about their pop-ups and future brick-and-mortar restaurant.
