Summer House, a concept by Chicago-based group Lettuce Entertain You, is planning to open a Disney Springs location this year, according to recent reporting in Gotta Go Orlando. The restaurant will be located at 1498 Buena Vista Dr, replacing the former Bongo’s Cuban Cafe.

“At Summer House, our motto has always been ‘say yes,’” shares Executive Partner and Divisional President, Chris Meers. “Whether that is ‘saying yes’ to a special request on a menu item, or helping to make a celebration memorable, we aim to consistently go above and beyond our guests’ expectations every time they walk through the door.”

The report states that the cuisine will be “California-inspired” and serve baked goods, but did not specify on the menu beyond those details.

What Now Orlando reached out to several company representatives until finally contacting Mr. Corey Milner, LEY Partner in charge of the Summer House brand, to inquire about potential opening dates and menu specifics, but he was in the middle of a new opening and could not answer all questions. However, Mr. Milner did clarify the timeline for opening:

“We do not have a set date just yet. We will open sometime in the fall.”
