NYC Hot Dog Co, a new, independently-owned and operated hot dog establishment is soon coming to 821 W Mineola Ave in Clermont’s historic downtown food market, joining eateries such as Teamont Boba and Lemont Coffee Lounge.

“I’m from New York, I was raised in Brooklyn, so I know what a good hot dog is,” owner Roger Ocasio tells What Now Orlando. “I’m following all the protocols for how Coney Island dogs are made. I’ll have both grilled and boiled hot dogs, the best two ways to have them. And, of course, I’ll have a bun warmer as well.”

Mr. Ocasio is quick to highlight the array of condiments readers can expect to put on their hot dogs.

“I’ll have saucy onions, sauerkraut, homemade chili, and then of course, mustard, relish, and all that other stuff.”

Those interested in other NYC-style snack options will be able to find them at Mr. Ocasio’s eatery.

“I’ll also have big New York City pretzels, nachos, knishes, and chips.”

It appears that bureaucracies are the final obstacle for Mr. Ocasio before the upcoming opening.

“We’re waiting on clearance from the inspectors. I’m trying my hardest but I’m at the mercy of the building inspectors.”
