Miami-based chain Talkin’ Tacos will be opening a new corporate-owned restaurant at 400 N. Orlando Ave in Maitland. The location will be the chain’s first corporate location; the other area spots are run by franchisee Hassan Rahim.

“We’re thrilled to bring our passion for tacos to 400 North’s new plaza,” said Mohammad Farraj, Talkin’ Tacos co-founder and chief marketing officer. “There’s a significant gap for a Mexican restaurant that combines South Florida flair with quick service into an experience with top-notch quality. There’s nothing like us in the area and we can’t wait to fill this void with tacos worth talkin’ about!”

“Meanwhile, the Talkin’ Tacos menu strays outside the lines of traditional Mexican food with combinations like birria ramen, barria pizza and other specialties. Barria is the featured food at the spot, braised for 12 hours before it’s considered ready to serve. Desserts include loaded churros, tres leches cake and tajin and chamoy gummies. Signature drinks are homemade lemonade, horchata and mangonada,” a report in ABJ adds.

“The restaurant’s decor includes hand-painted murals and neon signs, deliberately attracting young people. The influencers hired to create content about Talkin’ Tacos also aim to appeal to young audiences.”
