What Now on Monday found a plan review filing with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation for a Playa Bowl location that led us to connect with franchisee Roxanne Vogel. According to Vogel, over the next few months, she plans to open two new locations in Miami.

We can expect to find the first unit in South Miami at 6620 SW 57th Ave. At this location, we can expect to find other nearby businesses and like Apoke Miami, Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen and Mojo Donuts across the street. Currently in the permitting phase, Vogel is aiming for a late summer opening.

The next location is earlier in the pre-opening stages. Vogel reports that she is finalizing a lease agreement in Midtown. Because the lease is still in negotiations, she doesn’t have an address to share as of now. However, we should see this location opening in the fall.

The Playa Bowl brand, which was founded by surfers Robert Giuliani & Abby Taylor in New Jersey, specializes in healthy smoothies, açai bowls, coffees, cold pressed juices and more.
