Apparel retailer coming soon to Phipps Plaza Mall.
UPDATED (May 22, 2012): Update: Lilly Pulitzer to open Phipps Plaza store May 24
Lilly Pulitzer, know for its clothing and other wares featuring bright, colorful, floral prints, is opening its first retail store in Buckhead.
The apparel retailer filed a permit for commercial alterations to space inside Phipps Plaza, at 3500 Peachtree Road, in Buckhead.
Lilly Pulitzer Inc. will spend an estimated $125,000 making alterations to suite 1050C at the Buckhead Mall, according to the permit.
Although Mint Julep at the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center is a “Lilly Pulitzer Signature Store,” the 2,664-square-foot location inside Phipps Plaza will be the retailers first “Lilly Retail Store,” according to its website.
Some of Lilly Pulitzer’s fashions can also be found at Lenox Square Mall’s Bllomingdale’s department store.
Let’s just hope they don’t include the Lilly Pultizer Men’s line. Some of the most horrific fashions known to man and not something we need to see more of strolling this city.
Ewwwwww so Southern and horrible!! But I guess it fits with Legoland now…
For the record, every good prepster knows the name of all things pink and green is Lilly Pulitzer (it, not ti)…
The Frathead Mrs. degree crowd will LOVE this. The post grad frat crowd finished the demise of Buckhead started with the shut down of Buckhead Village. Now Legoland and Lilly Pulitzer are the nails in the coffin. Please North American Properties we need Atlantic Station now more than ever Atlanta is fast running out of decent places to shop.
Any idea what used to be in the space that this store is opening in?
hi sub-urbanist, the exact space has not been confirmed but it’s suite 1050C.

vera bradley now has some competition. thankfully they are confined to the mall-jail.
and JT, buckhead (minus phipps and lenox) does have some pretty great places to shop – just scattered about.
I predict a smashing success. Buckhead women = Lilly Pulitzer’s dream demographic.
Southern people have the worst taste in clothing. I normally don’t stereotype like Urbanist, but it’s true… sorry.
Not all of us do , Mike. Just ones that use terms like “The War of Northern Aggression” or things of that nature. Also, mostly the ones who live in Buckhead from ages 21-25 when they get married have kids and buy a house in Alpharetta and a huge SUV. Then they stay out in the suburbs (thank god) and talk about how dangerous and dirty the city while they wear floral print, seersucker and bowties. Oh and Sperry topsiders…with everything, I mean these people haven’t seen a piece of clothing that doesn’t match Sperry’s.
that’s because people are loaded onto a bus and shipped to atlanta from uga and auburn after they graduate. why? don’t ask me, I dont speak sheep.
I love when UGA plays in athens and takes all the dbags and female clones that cant think for themselves with them.
As a Southern woman, I resent that people would associate us with Lily Pulitzer. What is this, 1992? It’s embarrassing that Simon Malls think that stores like this and Legoland are things we want in Phipps Plaza. My entire life Phipps has been the destination for luxury upscale shopping, and now it may as well be mall of Georgia. Disgusting.
