The Commercial Observer reported in January of last year that Thor Equities had signed a deal bringing Cleveland-based restaurant and club SeeSaw Kitchen to Wynwood Walk in Miami. Forward Hospitality Group, the company behind the concept had signed that lease just before the end of 2021. Since then, little has been heard about the Ohio-born adult-playground-style bar.
Earlier this month, however, the South Florida Business Journal published coverage of another food and beverage concept bound for the development (Chama De Fogo Brazilian Steakhouse), giving a list of several Wynwood Walk tenants opening “later this year”: SeeSaw numbered among them.
“We are thrilled See Saw Kitchen has chosen Wynwood Walk for their first location in Florida,” Thor Equities Executive Vice President Jack J. Sitt said in a press release at the time of the announcement. “More than 75% of the asset was leased during a global pandemic which is a testament to this first-class development and Miami’s strong appeal. The location and amenities provide the ideal setting for SeeSaw Kitchen to grow their concept and we look forward to welcoming more exciting tenants to this property.”
The Wynwood Walk location will occupy three levels at the property, including the entirety of the roof deck. “Known as a destination for modern American cuisine, sports, and nightlife,” reads the release, “See Saw Kitchen is an ideal addition to the development and perfectly complements the development’s current roster.”
What Now reached out on Thursday to Forward Hospitality Group Chief Operating Officer Bobby Rutter to inquire about the Wynwood SeeSaw Kitchen location’s progress. Rutter was not immediately available for comment.
