Founded by NFL player and former Florida Gator Carlos Dunlap, Honey Uninhibited got its start in Brickell and has relocated to Coconut Grove, at 3324 Virginia St.

“We’re not stopping there, though,” Honey Uninhibited COO Mario Nocero told What Now in an email conversation on Tuesday. “We’re excited about our plans for expansion, with two more locations set to open by the fourth quarter of 2024. We’re looking forward to serving more communities with our unique offerings.”

The Honey Uninhibited brunch menu features Honey Classics like Sweet Chick (Carolina boneless breaded chicken thigh, French toast, served with spicy honey and maple syrup) and Gullah Shrimp-N-Grits. If you’re looking for something sweeter, there are choices like Challah Berry (2 pieces of cinnamon French toast stuffed with strawberry, mascarpone, ricotta cream cheese filling, topped with berry compote, mixed berries and mint garnish) and Red Velvet Hotcakes.

“We are thrilled to announce that we’re expanding to dinner service, adding to the richness of our culinary offerings,” Nocero added.

Other highlights from the Honey Uninhibited menu include the Seafood Omelet (spinach, bell peppers, red onions, topped with blackened sauteed shrimp and lump crab meat with cheddar and mozzarella mixed cheese blend) and Jambalaya + Oxtail (Signature Creole-style jambalaya topped with stewed oxtail).

Honey Unhibited is also a community-focused company, Nocero says, referring to the Dunlap’s work with the Carlos Dunlap Foundation. “Our mission,” says the CDF website, “is to bridge the gap between post-high school life and career-ready resources. Thus, allowing more athletes and underserved youth to pursue educational and entrepreneurial aspirations with less barriers.”

“It’s been an exciting journey so far, and we are looking forward to seeing what the future holds,” said Nocero.
