Later this year, Native Realty will launch Marina Village, a waterfront food hall and entertainment venue, at Fort Lauderdale’s iconic Bahia Mar resort. In the coming days and weeks, What Now will take a closer look at a few of the culinary concepts headed to Marina Village.

News broke on June 20 that leases have been signed for five concepts: Blue Steel Pizza, Burgers and Shakes, Fresh Garden Bowls, Quore Gelato, and Yip.

With two locations in Hollywood Beach and North Miami Beach, Burgers and Shakes has been a South Florida mainstay since 2011, and it will expand its footprint by opening its third outpost at Bahia Mar’s Marina Village—and beyond.

“The idea is to keep expanding,” co-owner George Iglesias told What Now on Tuesday. “We’re doing it little by little, trying to look at key locations.”

Iglesias says the Marina Village Burgers and Shakes location will offer the same proven menu found at its two current locations. That menu features burger varieties from the Classic Cheeseburger to the BBQ Burger with applewood bacon, onion rings, and barbecue sauce; and then there’s the Chicken & Avocado Burger and the Grilled Mahi-Mahi Burger. Sides include fries, sweet potato fries, and onion rings; and shakes come in flavors like Chocolate, Vanilla, Strawberry, Oreo, and Moca Caramel.
