Florida’s brunch mainstay First Watch appears to be planning a new location in Plantation. The chain, which has more than 120 restaurants in its home state, recently submitted paperwork for a First Watch location at 1714 N University Drive #100, south of Plantation Square Plaza, a retail center on the southwest corner of the intersection with West Sunrise Boulevard.

First Watch’s menu features choices like Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and Million Dollar Bacon, alongside fresh-made juices and Project Sunrise coffee. The chain also offers a revolving season menu. Dishes on the season menu have included Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict, Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash, and Watermelon Wake-Up juice, and more.

“First Watch’s curated menu takes an elevated approach to traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch offerings that are made to order using only the freshest ingredients,” a representative told What Now earlier this year.

Opening south of Plantation Square Plaza, the First Watch location would launch in an area whose food and drink community includes restaurants like Al Natour Middle Eastern, Japan Inn, and Panda Express.
