After spending the summer closed for a major renovation, Scottsdale Mexican restaurant and nightclub El Hefe is slated to reopen this Friday, Sept. 3.
The venue spent $1 million installing a 45-foot LED screen, updating its design and overhauling its food and drink menu. New additions include “Double Macho Tacos” — ground picadillo beef in a double-stacked flour and crispy tortilla with smashed black beans and topped with romaine, white cheddar and lime crema — and “Enchiladas Blancas,” chicken enchiladas with green chile, corn, pepper jack sauce, romaine and Spanish rice. El Hefe is rolling out a new “Boss Brunch” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, during which it will serve Mexican-inspired breakfast items and mimosas that cost just a penny to refill with the purchase of a food item from the brunch menu.
To celebrate its re-opening, El Hefe will hold a special event from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. this Friday night. Its new hours are Mondays from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Tuesday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Guests can requests reservations for dining or VIP bottle service by texting or calling 702-829-0251.
Correction: A previous version of this article misspelled the name of the restaurant. It’s “El Hefe,” not “El Jefe”.
