A new fast-casual concept is heading for the SkySong in Scottsdale at 1455 N. Scottsdale Road Suite 105.

The restaurant, called Clever Ramen, comes from the Born & Raised Hospitality team that’s also behind local eateries like The Clever Koi, Fellow Osteria and Across the Pond.

The company is owned by Arizona natives Joshua James and Nick Campisano, with Clever Ramen coming in as the fourth restaurant concept from the group.

The two business owners met at The Parlor Pizzeria, where James was serving as the bar manager and Campisano was working on honing in his leadership skills, according to the website for Fellow Osteria.

Clever Ramen will be the first fast-casual concept the group owns, with Across the Pond focusing on sushi and cocktails, Fellow Osteria featuring authentic Italian, and The Clever Koi being an Asian-inspired kitchen with a wood-fired grill and craft cocktail bar.

Although a full menu for Clever Ramen has yet to surface, the website says it will pair “build-your-own bowls of ramen with an assortment of steamed bao buns and other favorites for a perfect pop-in.”

What Now Phoenix reached out to James and Campisano for more information on Tuesday, but neither were available by phone. Although no official opening date has been set, the website says it’s slated for sometime in Fall 2021
