Ziggi’s Coffee is opening at 7645 E. Guadalupe Road in Mesa. A 629 square-foot space has been under construction over the past several months. The location’s Facebook page just announced that framing is nearly complete and franchise owner Paul Okonoski confirms that they hope to open by December.
That being said, Okonoski notes that the current state of the supply chain is causing a minor strain on sourcing building materials and it could delay opening to early 2022. Ziggi’s Mesa location already has information up on Google, where reviews from excited customers note that a fence has been up around the property for quite some time.
Ziggi’s Coffee was founded in 2004 as a small coffee shop in downtown Longmont, Colorado by Brandon and Camrin Knudsen, who left the west coast with the dream of starting their own business. They built Ziggi’s Coffee on the basis of serving a superior cup of coffee with stellar customer service, and since then have grown their business into over 40 drive-thru and coffeehouse locations across the nation.
The new Mesa outpost will be debuting on the heels of new locations in Tempe and Chandler. It won’t be long before everyone in greater Phoenix will be sipping on Ziggi’s specialties such as the Raspberry Truffle, Turtle Mocha, and Salted Caramel Latte. In addition to classic coffees, cold brews, and espresso drinks, Ziggi’s also serves teas, fruit smoothies, blended drinks, and Red Bull infusions.
Okonoski says that Ziggi’s Coffee is the best coffee he has ever tasted and that “Mesa locals and drivers coming off the Loop 202, just east of his store, are in for a real treat!”
Correction: An earlier version of this article noted that the owner could not be reached for comment, but they’ve since been in contact with What Now Phoenix and clarified that they own the building, so no lease was signed.
