Bottle & Bean is coming to 2577 W. Queen Creek Road in Chandler’s Downtown Ocotillo neighborhood. The wine and coffee concept is to replace Press Coffee, that took up Suite 100 surrounding The Cays apartment homes. While an official opening date has yet to be announced, there is already buzz generating in the community.
According to its Facebook page, Bottle & Bean is brought to us by Spike Lawrence and Tom Kaufman, who are the masterminds behind neighboring establishments such as The Living Room, Sea & Smoke, Rock Lobster & CHoP. Kaufman says that they look forward to open towards the end of December pending a liquor license review with the Chandler City Council on Decemeber 9th.
The 1,500 square-foot multi-use space will feature a temperature-controlled wine room, espresso bar, and kitchen. Expect grab and go coffee served alongside a menu prepared by Chef Christopher George, who is already planning scratch made pastries made with local ingredients.
Kaufman wants to appeal to nearby corporate clientele, offering private office space that customers can use for meetings or remote working. Additionally, he hopes Bottle & Bean will be a space where customers want to hang out and gather, whether it be for a quick coffee break or after work drinks.
While they will serve wine by the glass, they will also offer wine tastings, wine education, gift baskets, and bottles to go. Bottle & Bean tentatively plans to be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. serving breakfast, lunch, and happy hour. For more information, visit www.bottle-bean.com.
Correction: An earlier version of this post said that Lawrence and Kaufman could not yet be reached for comment. Kaufman has since been in touch to confirm the plans for Bottle & Bean.
