Berdena’s, known for their fine coffee and food, is one of the tenants at The Frederick, a neighborhood retail center fashioned inside a 1960’s mid-century building in North Central Phoenix. Berdena’s is one of nine local, small businesses taking residency at “The Fred,” which is located at 1215 E. Missouri Ave.
Berdena’s owner Jonathan Madrigal confirmed the plans for his third location, saying that permits have just recently been approved and the shell space is gearing up for build-out into the chic coffee shop it is destined to be. The only obstacle, he says, is the supply chain which is currently pushing the shop’s opening to January 2022.
The good news is that when Berdena’s finally does make its debut at The Fred, there will be a bit more to expect beyond expertly crafted espresso drinks and delicious pastries. Madrigal says that Berdena’s at The Fred will also feature natural wines in the evening, along with other small bites.
