A new Brushfire Tacos y Tapas location is getting built at the corner of N. 35th Ave. and W. Happy Valley Road. President Hope Berkey confirms that they are currently working on an outpost in front of Sandra Day O’Connor High School but did not yet disclose an opening. However, Upper West Side PHX notes that this new location is scheduled for Summer 2022.
Brushfire Tacos y Tapas is known for serving fresh – never frozen – ingredients through a variety of chef inspired tacos, burritos, bowls, and Spanish-style tapas. Meats are marinated for 24 hours and their five signature salsas are made fresh every day.
Debuted in 2013 in Peoria, Brushfire Tacos y Tapas was founded by Clint Berkey, who wanted to invest in a “Give-Back” business and was moved to create a small Mexican drive-thru restaurant. He developed a menu with the help of Chefs John Simmons and Gregg Piazza and instilled the principles of giving in his customer service ethos.
In addition to Peoria, there is another location in Glendale. Both are open every day for breakfast and lunch, while the Glendale location also opens on Saturday for dinner. For updates on the Happy Valley outpost, check out their website and Facebook page.
