If you love cheesecakes, then this upcoming Tempe bakery is likely going to be your new favorite hangout. Cheesy Cakes is coming to 1730 E. Warner Road at the Countryside Specialty Shops, according to recent real estate intel.

The Scottsdale-based business comes from husband and wife team, Sal and Lauren DiGiovanni. “We’re not boring, we’re cheesy!” they said in a phone call with What Now Phoenix. “We’re guaranteed to change your mind if you’re not already a huge fan of cheesecakes.”

Cheesy Cakes specializes in European-style cheesecakes which are a lot lighter and more airy than the New York-style cheesecakes that most people are most familiar with. The result is a flavorful cheesecake that isn’t too overwhelming. They can make almost any flavor you can imagine, from Pineapple Upside Down to Pistachio

Their 1,200 square-foot shop will feature rotating and specialty flavors, plus other treats such as cookies. They will have bistro tables both inside and on an outdoor patio, where customers can enjoy cheesecake by the slice. They will also continue to do custom orders for parties, weddings, and other events.

For now, they will begin cosmetic changes on their new shop, which will be transformed into an elevated and upscale boutique experience. Their website and social media presence will also be revamped. The DiGiovannis hope to have a soft opening by mid-March. For more information, visit www.cheesycakesaz.com.
