Frutilandia, a Mexican dessert shop that is taking the Valley by storm, is soon to open a Chandler location at 55 E. Ray Road. Multiple building permits found in city public records indicate that progress is being made on this new location, which was formerly a Walgreens store.
One of these records even implies that there are plans to convert the former convenience store’s pharmacy drive-thru into a “culinary drive-thru” to support Frutilandia’s restaurant operations. This is sure to be a convenient way to get your Mangoneada and Raspado fix on the go during the oncoming summer heat here in the desert.
Representatives for Frutilandia have been contacted but declined to comment at the time of publication. As for when this new Chandler location will open, their website only notes that it is “Coming Soon!” Building permits for this space indicate that construction has been in progress for at least a year, so we can only guess that an opening is in the near future. Hopefully by this summer?
Keep an eye out on this location for its opening, plus other future openings in Tempe and Glendale. We will post an update if we come across additional information.
