There are only four BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse locations in the Valley and they’re all pretty spread out. Those in the West Valley will soon not have to drive so far east to eat there, though, since Goodyear is the next lucky city to get a BJ’s location.
A new construction for a 7,600 square-foot restaurant is underway on a three-acre pad at the northeast corner of North 150th Drive and West McDowell Road. This BJ’s location will be a new prototype for the company, taking on a “Contemporary American Brewhouse” vibe with elements of wood, metal, stone and lots of natural light thanks to large windows.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is known for their signature hand-pressed deep-dish pizzas and their world-famous Pizookie desserts, a large deep-dish cookie baked fresh and topped with mounds of vanilla ice cream. They also boast many accolades for their 11 signature beers and ciders that are brewed in seven breweries across five states.
“We are really excited about the opening of our new restaurant in Goodyear,” BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. Executive Vice President Kevin Mayer said in a press release. “Arizona has been an incredible market for us, and one that we have seen for some time as a great opportunity to expand our footprint. This city is quickly developing, and we want to continue giving the people of Arizona the best experience possible by providing them memories they can share with family and friends.”
