Green District Salads, the Louisville, Kentucky-based fast-casual healthy restaurant recently announced that it had signed a lease for a third Phoenix area outpost – this time in Scottsdale – and that the restaurant should be operating by mid-2023 according to local media outlet KTAR News.
A spokesperson for Green District did not immediately return a request for comment.
Back in May, What Now Phoenix reported on two Green District locations slated to open this year; one at 4220 N. Central Ave and the other at 5498 S Power Rd in Gilbert, the latter of which will be opening its doors this Thursday, Nov 10, while Phoenix is now set to open next year.
In a statement published by KTAR News, Green District’s co-founder and CEO, Jordan Doepke said, “We are so excited to be extending the Green District footprint into Arizona, and our Gilbert location is only the beginning. As we continue growing in the western market, and around the country, we look forward to providing a go-to place to grab a convenient healthy meal and really immersing ourselves into the vibrant community here.”
According to the company’s website, its mission is “To provide a diverse menu of fresh chopped salads to customers on a consistent basis,” with a concept that is “designed to provide high-quality, healthy food to customers in a fun, lively environment.”
