The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is planning a massive national expansion with several new locations planned for Arizona.

Franchise owner Mike Boulant tells What Now Phoenix he is developing five locations throughout Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, and Mesa, currently working on one site at a time, starting with Gilbert. While he has an address lined up, a lease has not officially been signed but will be soon. He says that while the opening date is still in question, he hopes to open in the 4th quarter of 2023. Following this, he will open four locations over the next four years.

“Last year was a banner year for our brand and positioned us for the tremendous growth we’re already experiencing in this first quarter of 2023,” Bob Andersen, President of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, said in a press release. “This year, our focus remains on strategically growing our nationwide footprint in key markets throughout the country, and we’re excited to bring The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill to more states in the West region.”

The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is expanding massively throughout the Western U.S., with 13 new locations planned to open in California and Nevada, as well as Arizona, Oregon, and Washington for the first time. These states are part of a robust development pipeline that the company has generated, totaling 280 locations to be opened in the next several years. The brand plans to open 20+ restaurants in 2023 and has over 50 locations in active development to expand its footprint further in states like Maryland, California, and Texas. A separate franchise owner is working on a new Scottsdale location, opening in Summer 2023.
